3/26/2004 PA State Representative Paul Clymer presents
members of driveAWARE with a PA House Resolution
(#583 ) he introduced designating April 2004 as "Drive
Aware Month", after being contacted by Board
Member Peggy Eschenburg about driveAWARE and
World Health Day; the Resolution passed 3/8/2004.

3/28/2004 Board Member Peggy Eschenburg (and her
husband, Gary) and President John E. Langan
appear in the Bucks County, PA newspaper
The Intelligencer in an article ("Tragedy leads to
Advocacy") about the tragic loss of the
Eschenburg's daughter, Megan, in a car crash;
article also features driveAWARE, World Health Day
(and driveAWARE's World Health Day candlelight

4/7/2004 driveAWARE hosts candlelight vigil on World Health
Day (4/7/04) in honor of the losses suffered on our

4/14/2004 driveAWARE honors the more than 2 million lives lost
in traffic crashes on American roads by placing a
wreath at site of the first traffic fatality in America (New
York City, 1899). Memorial coincides with UN meeting
regarding World Health Organization's Road Safety

9/30/2004 1st Annual Awards Dinner. Awards were presented to
several people with outstanding contributions
toward driveAWARE's mission of traffic safety
awareness, including Intelligencer/Courier Times
(Bucks County, PA) reporter Marion Callahan for her
traffic safety awareness-raising articles.
2/9/2005 First of a public education series (opening each Board
meeting), Board member Bob Johns delivered a
presentation about child seats/restraint systems.
